The 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide was a top-tier touring motorcycle, featuring a host of factory-custom upgrades, the powerful Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine, and a premium infotainment system. It was considered a "hot rod bagger," with exclusive paint and high-end audio.
Engine and performance
Engine: The 2017 CVO Street Glide was powered by the all-new Twin-Cooled™ Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine, a liquid- and air-cooled 114 cubic inch (1,868 cc) V-twin.
Torque: The
Milwaukee-Eight 114
produced a claimed 124 ft-lb of torque at 3,250 rpm, providing a noticeable power boost over the standard models.
Transmission: It came with a six-speed Cruise Drive® transmission with a hydraulically actuated assist-and-slip clutch.
Exhaust: The bike was equipped with a chrome dual exhaust system featuring 4-inch touring mufflers.
Suspension: For improved handling, it featured a new 49mm Dual Bending Valve front fork and easily adjustable emulsion rear shocks.
Brakes: Standard anti-lock brakes (ABS) were included, with 32mm, 4-piston fixed calipers on both the front and rear.
Infotainment and audio
Boom!™ Box 6.5GT
: The CVO featured a 6.5-inch full-color touchscreen with a GPS navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, and voice recognition.
Premium audio: The bike was outfitted with a powerful Boom!™ Audio Stage II sound system. This included 6.5-inch speakers in the fairing and 5x7-inch speakers in the saddlebag lids, all powered by two dedicated 300-watt amplifiers.
Tire pressure monitoring: The infotainment system also included a Harley-Davidson first: an integrated tire pressure monitoring system that displayed the pressure on the screen.
