Performance and engine
Engine: The bike is powered by the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103™ engine, a 1,690cc (103.1 cubic inch) V-twin.
Twin-Cooled technology: This system combines air-cooling with "precision liquid cooling," which uses coolant circulated through the cylinder heads (around the exhaust ports) and into heat exchangers in the fairing lowers. This helps maintain performance in high-heat, stop-and-go conditions.
Torque: The Twin-Cooled engine produces a potent 105.5 ft-lb of torque at 3,750 rpm.
Transmission: A 6-speed Cruise Drive® transmission provides smooth shifting and low RPMs at highway speeds.
Clutch: This model features a hydraulic clutch, which reduces lever effort and requires no adjustment.
Features and comfort
Project Rushmore enhancements: The 2014 model's numerous upgrades were part of a massive, customer-driven design initiative.
Infotainment: The Boom!™ Box 6.5GT infotainment system, with its 6.5-inch color touchscreen, includes GPS navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB port for charging and devices.
Redesigned fairing: A new "batwing" fairing with a "Splitstream" vent was wind-tunnel tested to significantly reduce head buffeting for the rider.
